Timothy Richard Tebow. He has heard every praise along his way, but stays humble. He wins the Heisman Trophy, the most prestigious award in sports, and then can only say he hopes to get better. Better? How? Is that really possible? The kid goes out his first year as a starter in the SEC and wins 9 games, breaks records, and wins a Heisman. Most players call that a career, he calls it just getting started. People said the spread wouldn't work in the SEC, he proved them wrong. They said he can't really throw the ball well. He finished second in the country in passing efficiency, and the highest percentage ever by a Heisman winning quarterback. Can't pass, what were you thinking? Can he take the pounding of running that much in the SEC, 22 touchdowns, enough said. When it came to the Heisman, critics sifted through his season to find something they could use to prevent him from bringing home the trophy. He is a sophomore, so what. His system provided him the stats, easy enough I guess, then why doesn't everyone use it. Everyone doesn't have Tim Tebow. But wait Darren McFadden was great, yea he was...in 2 or 3 games. Tebow rushed for more TD's then McFadden, obviously threw for more and accounted for more yards for his team. Tebow finished only one game with less than 3 touchdowns. He never had more than one turnover in a game. Finally the Heisman voters gave justice to someone who deserved it.
Tebow has defied logic in college football and whats to say he can't continue doing so. He can't win a second Heisman or National championship, can he? He hears everything people say he can't do and he proves them wrong, so why not this. He could end his career as the most decorated player in college football history. Who doubts him anymore? I know I don't. Like he said, he can only get better. Now that is scary. I guess that's why Superman wears Tim Tebow pajamas.

Apology
Just a real quick thing. Please don't judge my punctuation or spelling. Most of these are spur of the moment, right off the top of my head. I don't check over them for errors, so bare with me and just enjoy the attempt at journalism.

National Champs??
If I ask you who wins the BCS Championship game who do you say?? Mizzou, WVU, or maybe OSU. Then let me ask you who is the best team in the country? Does your answer matchup? Of course it doesn't. Harping back on one of my first posts, we need to decide it on the field. Do any of those teams handle LSU, UGA, UF, USC, VT? They don't. What team in the country wants to play UGA or USC right now, nobody! Exactly! If WVU wins, then we say hey, nice strength of schedule, if Mizzou wins then we say the same thing, if OSU wins then we say FUCK the BCS because OSU doesn't belong in the rank of best teams. They beat Miami on a fluke PA, then get destroyed by UF the next time, and if they make it again it would be ugly. Put teams on the field. I want every team to battle it out. I need a champion, not a "well I guess they're the best." Hawaii is a great story, and damn I want the in the BCS, but could they really play a week to week schedule in the SEC, not a chance. Give them a BCS bowl, congrats on being undefeated, but we all know they don't need a title shot. 119 of 119 on SOS. Are you kidding me? In essence, lets decide it between the hash marks. Debate it great for any sports, but at some point, wouldn't you like to know who is really the best??

Made me Laugh
An OHIO State Trooper pulled a car over on I-20 about 2 miles south of> DAYTON. When the Trooper asked the driver why he was speeding, the driver> answered that he was a magician and a juggler and he was on his way to the> Shriners Hospital to do a show for the kids and didn't want to be late...> The Trooper told the driver he was fascinated by juggling, and if the > driver> would do a little juggling for him then he wouldn't give him a ticket. > The> driver told the Trooper that he had sent all of his equipment on ahead and> didn't have anything to juggle. The Trooper told him that he had some > flares> in the trunk of his patrol car and asked if he could juggle them. The> juggler stated that he could, so the Trooper got three flares, litthem > and> handed them to the juggler.>> While the man was doing his juggling act, a car pulled in behind the > patrol> car. A drunk, good old boy, from Mansfield, got out and watched the> performance briefly. He then went over to the patrol car, opened the rear> door and got in.>> The Trooper observed him doing this and went over to the patrol car, > opened> the door and asked the drunk what he thought he was doing.>> The drunk replied, "You might as well take my ass to jail, cause there's > no> way in hell I can pass that test!>>>>>>>
Sports Again
Let's jump ship to NCAA basketball. Durant and Oden were magnificent. After that you had the boys from Florida, a few randoms and some overseas talent. Look at it now. I will go ahead and call it, this is the deepest collegiate talent ever. Granted thanks to the mandatory one year in college. The kids in college are had and shoulders above freshmen of the past, even before players were leaving early. I will be the first to admit I didn't want to like O.J. Mayo. He plans to stay in school for only a year. He comes to Southern Cal just to boost his notoriety. He comes to a school with a lack of basketball history so he can stand out. He just had so much hype I didn't think he could live up to it. He hasn't come close to it. He is way beyond it. Does anyone else realize he is playing at 50%. I see Eric Gordon, Beasley, or whatever his name at Memphis and they are great. There skill level is not on that of O.J. I see why now why he is touted so highly. He started off against some measly teams and played second fiddle to his teammates. He lets them shine, but when the game is on the line he is the best in the game. He is a pure shooter, with amazing handles and he is strong enough to go to the hole whenever he want. Sounds great doesn't it. That's not all. He is as quick as any guard, strong as most forwards and can jump out of the gym if he has to. All in all he is the best package of a player I have see on the college level in a long time. Keep in mind a freshman folks. It just looks too easy. He is the kind of player that come tourney time he says jump on and I will take us to the promise land, but he doesn't have to. USC is loaded with talent that is coming around sooner than expected. He defers, then defers again. It is amazing with what he built for himself to live up to he doesn't press. He is truly a special talent. I will go out a limb I guess and tell you this. He is gone after one year, he will lead his team to a PAC 10 title, and a Final Four. Sounds like big hype doesn't it. He hasn't touched the hype he had coming in he exceeded it, so why can't he exceed my hype. Do something special O.J. I am a fan.
OFF TOPIC
I am putting sports to the side on this one. Just for a minute. My business is my business. Okay I am done.

Will the Dolphins win a game??
Let me go ahead and get this out of the way. Yes I am a Dolphins fan. Now that were done with that, will they ever win a game? 0-11 to start the season. They have lost 6 games by 3 points or less and have been within a touchdown in the fourth quarter in every game, but the Patriots game. In that game they scored more against the Patriots then any other team. The Ronnie Brown injury really set them back. He was the lone bright spot and on top of that would have made John Beck's transition a little easier. I think they should be able to squeak one out, but who knows. Ted Ginn isn't looking that bad after all. You can argue they should have taken Quinn, but seeing that he hasn't hit the field there is no telling what he has to offer. Ginn has had some nice catches despite going up against number one corners. I think was him and Beck can get some repor with one another they could do some damage. There defense is where they need the most help. It is solid, but ancient. They need a face lift on that side of the ball more so then any other team. Hopefully they don't exclude Jason Taylor when they retool the defense. They have a few young pieces that have potential, but we will have to wait and see when the responsibility falls on their shoulders alone. No matter what the do on either side of the ball the next few years will be tough. Brady is still in New England. The Bills seem to be turning the corner with some of their young talent. At least the Jets stay on the Phins level. Hopefully they can turn some of these draft picks into quality players. Not sure how I feel about ole Cam Cameron. He has kept us in games, but due to our inexperience he has kept the reigns rather tight on the offense. Thy can't do much worse, so he mine as well see what he has and open it up. Come on Dolphins put it together, who wants to be the best and worst team ever.
